Therentalcars is an online car-rental comparison and booking service operated by Himalayan Haze LLC ("Therentalcars", "we", "us"). We help you compare live prices from third-party car-rental suppliers and reserve online. We are a booking intermediary — we are not the rental company and not an insurer. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier; any insurance is provided by a third-party insurer.
Information we collect
When you reserve, we collect your name, email, phone number, and trip details (location, dates, vehicle). Payments are processed by PayPal — we do not store your full card number. We also collect basic usage data (device, pages, approximate location) via analytics.
How we use it
To create and manage your reservation, process payment, send confirmations and service messages, provide support, prevent fraud, comply with law, and improve the service.
Who we share it with
- Car-rental suppliers — to fulfill your booking.
- PayPal — to authorize and capture payment.
- Insurance partner — if you buy coverage, to issue your certificate.
- Service providers — Google (Analytics, Ads), Microsoft Clarity, Mapbox, and our email/hosting providers, under their terms.
We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention & security
We keep reservation data as long as needed for the booking, legal, and accounting purposes, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards; no method is 100% secure.
Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents may request to know, delete, or correct personal information we hold, and to opt out of "sharing" for cross-context advertising. We do not sell personal information. The service is intended for adults (21+) and is not directed to children.
